I had to mess with it. I pulled off the metal part and installed it with 3M double sided tape. The pieces are about $300 EACH from Benz but if you keep an eye out you can find nice ones on flrabay for around $25 each. I have one corner if ya want it.......

I had some wood coming off the metal back and the body shop had some ultra sticky glue they used on it. It has never come loose again. If I was in your shoes I would go to a body shop and get their advice. Either they can re-glue it or shine you on to a good product and you can do it yourself.

is the wood broken or is it the varnish that is cracking? Thats very common. It can be stripped and re-finished if you have the patience for it.

That is trim adhesive. Werks really good but 3M double sided tape is used for the same purpose and will give the same spacing as original......

Default Zebrano Trim

The trim is Zebrano wood from the african congo a rare hardwood!
Mercedes spares no expense.
Refinishing may be the way to go here.
I probably can get imitation stick on stuff till i can refinish these
Ill post those pics too.

Polyurethane glue will stick the wood back to the metal backer. I always keep my eyes pealed at the junkyards for good sets of wood. I find them all the time.

There was a thread here somewhere recently. Someone did a step by step refinishing and it came out pretty good. Here it is:
