what i am going for, i believe, is to have nothing left but the remote sensor´, and the power button, even nothing but the remote sensor if necessary......then it will work flawlessly as a remote-only TV......

I have to look up who I dealt with in the past to get schematics for a 52" RCA I got free about 8 years ago (gave that away to a buliding engineer at my office a few months ago.).

Totally forgot to look....with the weather it slipped my mind (spent the might shoveling 38" of dense heavy packed snow off my garage roof last night 12' X 24'). I'll try looking it up today and give you the link when I find it.

http://www.smpcshop.com/32A33-32A43-...43-p-4937.html

This is a different place than I dealt with...and its a $4.95 download for the PDF of the service manual.

Another http://www.asm-service-manual.com/Li...20List%203.htm

Here is another http://www.user-manuals.com/advanced...tics&x=12&y=11

Keep in mind you want a SERVICE MANUAL, not a user manual.

Clean the mother board with electrical cleaner and then look at all the tiny solder joints with a strong magnifying glass or preferably a jewlers loop. I will bet that some of them are cracked. Resolder them and it should fix you up!

im thinking this TV had belonged to a family with small kids, or big ones, who constantly smashed the buttons on front instead of just pushing them, causing the microswitches underneath to get smashed good, and they are now providing unwanted functions as they make intermittant contact.......its like the volume button gets almost constantly pushed like you want to turn it up.......bad....
